High School Life

While high school is an exciting new experience for students, it’s important that you focus on what is needed to graduate (at least 44 credits + at least 5 Regents exams passed) and that you complete homework assignments and try your best in class.

As with most things in life you get out what you put in. We hope that you take your education seriously and work hard to achieve your full potential.

As Veritas Academy grows there is a great opportunity for students to be a part of developing our traditions and culture. If you have ideas for clubs, events, trips and other enrichment activities then talk to your teachers and the main office. There are already opportunities to be involved in sports (PSAL), clubs, community service initiatives and student government.

Your teachers are always there to help you with your work and you have the opportunity to set up an office hours appointment during your P3 lunch to discuss grades/assignments/classwork.

Ms. Bongiovi, the Veritas Academy Academic Advisor is available to discuss your transcripts, college applications and to evaluate if you are on track for graduation in terms of class credits and Regents exams.
