Hello Parents and Students,

This year our school has invested in a new student information system (SIS) and grading/attendance program called PowerSchool.

It will take some time for us to roll it out and use all the functions but as we phase it in, you’ll experience the following benefits:

  • Web and App access to grades
  • Attendance information including push/email notifications of absences/lateness
  • Real time tracking of averaged end of semester grades
  • Communication channel with teachers
  • Multiple students accounts accessible under a single parent account

Web access to student accounts is via: http://veritasacademy.powerschool.com

STUDENT ACCESS Use the account ID and password distributed in your period 2 class or see Mr. Gill in room 130 for a duplicate.

PARENT ACCESS
The first step is creating a new account at http://veritasacademy.powerschool.com and when prompted, enter the “Access ID” and “Access Password” for your child.

*** If you haven’t already received this information, please call our parent coordinator, Ms. Scalici on 718-888-7520 and please note that this information will be available for parents on curriculum night and parent teacher conferences. You can also ask your child to visit me, Mr. Gill in room 130 and I can provide the parent access information for them to take home. ***

Parent & Student Resource Center

There is an app for parents and students in the Android and iOS stores. After downloading the PowerSchool app, when prompted, enter the district code: KWZD.

PowerSchool provides an opportunity for parents to monitor their child’s school performance including grades, incomplete assignments and attendance. It’s through this home-school partnership that students will excel.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Ms. Scalici on 718-888-7520 or myself at extension 1301.

Many thanks,

Mr. Gill
